Site Design Rating

I rate the site design 8/10. I appreciate the use of different colors for each section of the home page, denoting a clear separation between each language listed. I also appreciate how the most common/frequently used languages are displayed in large text near the top of the page, while lesser used languages and concepts are listed as smaller icons. The fonts are clear and easy to read and the design is sleek and clean. The errors and warnings do not appear to hinder the basic function and aesthetic design of the website in a significant way.

Site Usability Rating

I rate the site's usability 7/10. It is helpful that no matter which language you select to learn, there are always links to all other languages at the top of the page. There are also mutiple ways to arrive at the same destination — for example, one can access HTML exercises by clicking the "Exercises" drop-down menu at the top of the home page and selecting "Exercise" displayed next to "HTML"; one can also access this page by clicking "Learn HTML" from the home page, then scrolling down to "HTML Examples" in the sidebar and clicking the "HTML Exercises" link displayed there.
The only drawback of the site's usability is that there is a great deal of information on every page. It is easy to navigate if you know what you are looking for, but it could also be overwhelming if you are just attempting to browse some basic information from several sources on the website. This is a minor issue though, and does not greatly detract from the site's usability.

Does the site meet its purpose?

This website does meet its intended purpose. It provides a significant amount of valuable information about many different programming languages and concepts, and it displays this information in a way that is easy to navigate and is accessible to someone with little to no knowledge of the topic. This site is a valuable resource to anyone wanting to learn how to code, or to brush up on their knowledge and learn new or updated concepts.
