Colors
I selected an orange and blue color palette. They are complementary colors which display well, and I avoided contrast issues by relying on off-white and off-black colors for most text. Orange and blue are also the primary colors of the Portal video game franchise of which I am a big fan.
Fonts
The main header font is Tangerine, a "fancy" font which conveys an artistic touch. The secondary heading font is Abril Fatface, a serif font which stands out well in a page utilizing sans-serif for body text. The body font used for all other text is Red Hat Display, a sans-serif font that is, in my opinion, a less boring font to read than Arial or Helvetica.

All icons are sourced from SVG Repo, and all images are sourced from Unsplash. All images used are license-free and legal to use without attribution. The images on the about page were taken by me.
